The National Oil Ethiopia (NOC), one of the private business firms engaged in petroleum products market in the country, inaugurated on Thursday an aviation fuel depot and an aircraft refueling facility constructed on the premise of the Addis Ababa Bole International Airport.
In a statement sent to ENA, NOC said the new aviation fuel depot, which has a capacity of storing up to 2.5 million litters of fuel, and the aircraft refueling facility with a state-of-the-art refueling technologies were constructed and installed at a cost of 43 million Birr.
The establishment of the storage and aircraft refueling facility will contribute a lot toward enhancement of air transport services at regional and international levels, according to the statement.
The statement said the company has been executing two additional aircraft refueling projects in Gambela and Assossa towns of the Gambela and Benishangul Gumuz regional states. The projects are due to be completed within the coming new year, it said.
NOC, which is the first domestic company established at registered capital of 100 million Birr in aircraft refueling business in 2004, has been providing efficient services to motorists and non-motorists at more than 110 service stations besides supplying LP Gas, alternative energy sources, and bituminous products to customers.
